I quit smoking cigarettes

1 month 10 days and 13 hours ago I quit smoking cigarettes.

My earliest memory of cigarettes was when I was four or five I went in the bathroom while my mother was bathing and smoking in the tub. I begged her to quit and told her that it was killing her. I didn’t want her to die. She put out the cigarette and quite for quite some time.

I started smoking when I found out my mother was smoking again more than five years later. I knocked her purse off the counter, spilling the contents, to discover marlboro  light 100s cigarettes. I took the pack in the bathroom and smoked the whole thing. I was 9 and I was instantly hooked on nicotine.

In addition to being a very dangerous and unhealthy habit it is also a very expensive one. So far I have saved $207.92 by not smoking. I have also regained 249 hours of life and spent 998 hours smoke free. Well cigarette smoke. I did quite cold turkey.
